ELEMENTARY WORSHIP

Rogers First Kids meet in the Kids Church room from 9:30 am – 10:45 am each Sunday morning. Kids have the opportunity to engage in worship through music, God’s Word, and personal involvement in the service.  The service is geared to reaching kids for Christ, training them in the Word of God, and encouraging them to reach out to others.  Our goal is for kids to 1)know God’s love and kindness though worship and 2)build friendships that last a lifetime.

 SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School is for all ages and is an important element to our spiritual formation and discipleship. Rogers First has an excellent staff of loving teachers for our kids, meeting each Sunday from 11 am – 12 pm. Classes are separated by age and gender.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIESarchery-tag

Caravan is a weekly scouting program for grades K-5th. Caravan meets each Wednesday, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Children’s Dept. Caravan is committed to the physical, social, mental, and spiritual growth of children. It uses an active, hands-on learning approach to help kids discover, develop, experience, and grow. Colorful badges are awarded to each child to mark their progress.

Caravan teaches children the beliefs of the Church of the Nazarene, information about prominent figures in the church’s history, and valuable skills to help them develop spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically.

During the summer months we have fun summer activities beginning at 6:30 pm every Wednesday

 Childrens QuizzingChildren’s Quizzing

Bible study program for children in Kindergarten-5th grade. The purpose of Quizzing is to teach the Bible in a fun and exciting way, creating a desire and a love for studying God’s Holy Word. Bible Study and Quiz Practice is held during Sunday School hour Fall through Spring in the Children’s Dept. Quiz competitions are optional and held monthly through the school year. At the quizzes, children participate with other churches in our zone and district to test their knowledge. In Quizzing, each child challenges himself or herself to reach award levels. In this approach, children quiz against a base of knowledge, not each other.

Youth LogoStudent Ministries (6th-12th Grades)

From the moment we hit middle school until we walk across the stage at high school graduation, we are constantly being challenged, changed and called to a variety of different things. This can also be one of the most transforming times in the life of a teen. God is challenging us to live a life dedicated to Him. He can change us into believers who actually do what He says and not just listen. God is calling us to make a difference in our world through His power, His strength and His knowledge.

We are here to partner with families to make a difference in the lives of our teens. Our goal is to equip both the teen and the family to do the work of God. If you have any questions or would like to meet with Pastor Rob, please call the church office at 479-636-1050 or email him at ryates@rogersfirst.com.

Wednesday Nights @ 6:30pm:
probStudents gather to hang out, worship God and grow in Him. Each week, the Word of God challenges our students to go deeper in their faith. Following the message they further discuss the message in small groups arranged by age and gender.

Sunday School @ 11am: Students are discipled weekly in grade designated classes to help them grow closer to God and each other.

Sunday Night Discipleship @ 6pm: For students who desire a closer walk with the Lord, we come together on Sunday nights to focus intentionally on the disciplines of the faith- reading the Bible, prayer and continued growth in Christ.

Bible Quizzing Sundays 4-6pm:
Each year, our students learn specific books of the Bible to compete against teams from across the United States. As they memorize the Word of God, their lives are transformed and challenged to know God deeper. Students attend invitational and regional quizzes across the South Central field and beyond.

Make Disciples Website BannerTherefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. – Matthew 28:19

The Great Commission is Jesus’ final instructions to his followers to preach the gospel to every person and to make disciples of every nation. Still today Jesus calls his followers to make this task an utmost priority.

Rogers First is committed to sending and supporting missionaries around the world.

  • We currently have several families connected with our church serving in missions contexts:
    • Chris and Anndee Stringer serve with Extreme Nazarene Ministries in Peru.  In January 2013, they will be assigned to ministry in Ecuador.  Chris and Anndee have two daughters.  The Stringers have also served as  with Nazarenes in Voluntary Service in Palermo, Italy.
    • Jessica Morris serves as an assigned Missionary with Nazarene World Missions in Bulgaria. She has helped restart the Sofia Church of the Nazarene, coordinates Work and Witness teams and organizes theological education classes.
    • Aaron and Danielle Miner serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators in St. Petersburg, Russia.  The Miners have three children and are in the process of adopting a child from Russia.
    • Josh and Bevin Bold serve as volunteer Missionaries in Kurdistan and Germany with Iranian refugees.   They also assist an orphanage in Mexico. Josh and Bevin have one daughter.
    • Our LINKS Family in a Creative Access Area
  • We are involved in our local community, Northwest Arkansas and around the world through going and giving.   Two key ways we minister locally are through our food pantry and supporting Rogers Primera Iglesia del Nazareno.
  • Our local missions council endeavors to lead our church in missions involvement through prayer, quarterly missions services, guest missionaries, work and witness trips.
  • The primary way we fund missions is through Faith Promise.  Faith Promise is systematically giving above the tithe for world evangelism and missions.  Each spring, RFCN holds a Faith Promise Weekend.  Other missions offerings include Alabaster, Thanksgiving and Easter.

There are ways for everyone to participate in reaching the world for Christ. Discover the difference your life can make. Find out how you can be involved here.
