Dr. Alan E. Johnson
Alan is married to Paula (1982) and has two sons and daughters-in-love, Zachary and Cory, and Jacob and Alli. He loves being “Poppy” to his three grandchildren.
He has pastored Rogers First since 2001. He is graduated from Southern Nazarene University (1982/83) and Nazarene Theological Seminary (1988). He earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Asbury Theological Seminary (2018).
His hobbies include woodworking, canoeing, hiking, camping and genealogy. His life goal and calling are to glorify and serve Jesus. Alan is a Tribal member of the Citizen Potawatomie Nation. He sang in the El Paso Opera Company for five seasons.
If Alan could be any woodland creature, he would be a Buffalo (Bison) because of their strength and characteristics. The buffalo was of vital importance to the Plains Indians in the Midwest and north. Alan’s favorite Bible verses are Proverbs 3:5-6 and Joshua 1:9
